Hanoi is just something else

The Old Quarter is pure madness in the best way - narrow streets, motorbikes everywhere, and the smell of pho drifting out from every corner. It's loud and chaotic but in a way that pulls you in. Great city for food lovers.

So much history packed into one city

Visited Hoan Kiem Lake and the area around it is just beautiful. The temples, the old French colonial buildings, the street life - it all comes together really well. Hanoi has a totally different feel from other Southeast Asian capitals I've been to.

Perfect city for food lovers

Bun cha is a must - had it multiple times and it never got old. The street food scene here is on another level. Even the simple stuff like banh mi from a street cart beats most restaurant meals I've had elsewhere. Hanoi really delivers on the food front.

Great city break with loads to see

Hanoi is compact enough to explore on foot but big enough that you never run out of things to do. The Temple of Literature is worth every minute. Architecture, street life, markets - it's all here and very affordable compared to most Asian capitals.

Loved every bit of it

Egg coffee at a tiny cafe in the Old Quarter was honestly one of the best things I've ever tasted. The streets around Hang Dao are so lively and full of color. Prices are super reasonable and locals are genuinely warm and helpful.

A city that sticks with you

There's something about Hanoi that just gets under your skin. The pace, the food, the way the city looks at dusk near West Lake - it's all very real and raw. Not polished or overdone. Feels like a proper city with a real identity.
